The academy maintains accredited academic transcripts of completed courses, for students attending CrossPointe classes in grades 7 and above. The grade received in the course, quality points awarded, clock hours devoted to each, and any college entrance test scores will be documented on the transcript. CrossPointe will send completed official transcripts to secondary or post secondary schools and/or military schools upon written request. Copies of unofficial transcripts will be provided to the family.
Option #2
CrossPointe Connection will offer transcript record keeping services for enrolled Home-school families that use an approved curriculum and register for this service. In order to maintain the integrity of academic oversight of the academy, registered Home-school families must adhere to the following policies to utilize this service.
- For program integrity purposes, this transcript will be available only after the student has been in our program for a minimum of one year.
- Students will be required to take four monitored tests plus a final exam at the CCA Learning Lab in each home-schooled subject. The parent must provide the test and an answer sheet to the monitor for this purpose. The tests are kept in the student’s file. CrossPointe Connection will provide testing times and an appropriate place for the monitored tests through the Learning Lab.
- The parents must fill out a “Course of Study” form at the beginning of each school year showing the courses your child will be taking and curriculum to be used. CrossPointe Connection will offer counsel to the families on curriculum choices. Parents are required to turn in grades quarterly (4 times a year including semester average) for all classes being taken at home or with a tutor. CrossPointe Connection will offer counsel to the families on student progress, and other particular needs of the home schooled school student. Tutoring through the Learning Lab is offered for additional fees.
- Parents must sign that they know it is their responsibility to send the Intent to Home-school to their school district office.
- Parents must sign that they know it is their responsibility to maintain accurate attendance records of home-school study and send attendance records to their county school board each month.
- Students participating in CrossPointe Connection’s transcript record keeping services must use the school’s grading scale.
CrossPointe will send completed official transcripts to secondary or post secondary schools and/or military schools upon written request. Copies of unofficial transcripts will be provided to the family. CrossPointe will provide access to PSAT tests in the junior year and assist seniors in registering to take college entrance examinations. CrossPointe will also post college entrance exam scores on the transcript upon request.
Registration Deadline of Record Keeping Services: 8/18/08 - 1st Semester; 1/15/09 - 2nd Semester
Transcript Service Fees: $250 per student per grade level.

Benefits of Transcript Services?
- You will receive professional advice from experienced instructors and administration.
- CrossPointe Connection Instructors and Administration have collectively well over 100 years of experience in private and homeschool education.
- An official transcript will be created (parents/guardians will receive an unofficial copy) to be mailed to any school a student may transfer or to any college a student may apply. After at least one year with the program, an official diploma can be issued for graduating seniors who have met or exceeded state requirements
(College Prep or College Prep with distinction are currently available).
- All students entering high school are required to undergo academic advising for the purpose of establishing a diploma plan. Several meetings with their advisor will be made to review academic progress, to assess how the student will meet GA’s requirements, and to proctor exams.
- CrossPointe Connection has been accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
- A transcript from an accredited program helps assure that the student’s graduation has the professional recognition and approval of a professional accrediting group. Programs that meet the standards of the GAC have been recognized by the University System of Georgia so that graduates from accredited centers are eligible for entry into colleges within the system.
- The State of Georgia recognizes GAC as one of the accrediting bodies that can cause a graduate to be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship. Graduates from this accredited center can receive this financial aid as they enter college rather than having to complete a year of study before applying for HOPE retroactively.
- Transferability Potential It should be noted that although CrossPointe has put together a program with high academic standards and integrity, there are always potential difficulties when transferring. However, the GAC is one of the oldest accrediting bodies in GA. If you are contemplating transferring your child, contact the Superintendent’s office in that county to validate, in writing, acceptance of credits from a GAC home school center and to verify the graduation requirements for that county. Please notify CrossPointe prior to attempting to transfer to another school so we can assist you in gathering needed documentation.
Commitment Needed from CrossPointe Connection Parents who use Transcript Services
- Willingness to put the time and effort into providing the documentation required (listed on the front of this sheet).
- Willingness to take the responsibility to provide sound courses for their student(s) (parents may create new courses for electives –write a course description, line-up curriculum, and provide documentation of work).
